Jeff - You are misreading that quote I think. He is saying its ok to put the dog down because the human is more important! That is what I have the problem with.

No misreading. He is stating that the laws support humans over animals. Which is exactly true. I think it's a major problem, but none the less it's true.

I guess I deserve that, but seriously, it bothers me that people hold animals on the same level as humans. I dont think thats right.

As a matter of fact, I do read your posts. Which is why it is hard to actually take you seriously at all.

#1 I was placing perspective on what Spectre was saying. He quoted something you said and gave an example. The example he gave does support his thought, but not yours. You have said that animal life is not as important as human life (in a nutshell), correct? If I am misstating, please let me know.

#2 I don't troll, nor do I really care if anyone has the same opinion as mine. You have made a life out of trolling here as anyone who reads any of this knows. So suck it up and take it like the boy that you are. O-ring is correct, you are just trying to get a rise of out people. If you are actually being sincere, no one here knows it. And btw, its not necessarily a good thing to be a troll.

#3 I am entitled to my opinion just as you are to yours. Just because they don't meet at this particular juncture and probably never will because I don't believe it would be worth my while is not important.

Is there a debate about whether he should die for beating a dog? He died because he was an idiot, plain and simple. Who beats a dog with a loaded gun pointed at himself? AN IDIOT! How can you debate that?

LOL....Now thats good stuff I couldnt agree more.Stupid things happen to stupid people unfortunately on the other side bad things happen to good people.I definitely place him in the stupid category.

My life, your life, and O-rings life are far more important than any animal on this earth and it should be treated this way.

Ask any firefighter what his priorities are when going into a burning building..save the people first and the animals second only if you can. Animals are not equal to humans and will never be, the sooner you accept this fact, the better off you will be.

I didn't know you cared. Ok, enough of calling each other trolls..hehe. I see your point and I do think that the attitude you describe is prevalent in modern society. However, I would argue that this "man as dominating the other savage life forms of the Earth" is what is totally destroying this planet and is an unhealthy, somewhat archaic, way of looking at things.

We certainly don't think that way when diving (I hope)... if we did, the coral and animals underwater would be there for our pleasure and domination. There would be nothing wrong with me standing on a reef if that pleased me and I could eat or kill whatever I wanted since I am a human and I rule..
