what i meant (and perhaps i am completely wrong) was that if you bought an avelo system it might be a an option for this person to use locally.
is this system avail in many vacation destinations to rent / use now??
i heard about this new idea not that long ago. i assumed this would be one of those things only found in very select areas.
pls let us know where these can be used. i have never seen one other than online.

Has anyone actually purchased one for private use? No idea.

Have you given any thought as to how you will attach your "distributor valve" to your harness? Some kind of quick release? Or will you have a LP quick release on the LP surface supply hose?

Also, if you're taking a bailout bottle (with its own complete regulator), do you really need to have an octopus reg, too, attached to your "distributor valve"?

The valve has a loop on it just for the purpose of securing it with a snap link. There are no quick releases anywhere in the line. The hose connects directly to the first stage LP port and ends at the other end in a four way distribution valve. Actually, it's not a valve at all, only a four port distributor. One port is the incoming air hose, the second is the inflator hose for my BC, the last two are for my primary and octo regulators. Yeah, an Octo is maybe a little overkill for a Hookah rig but I like being safe. Besides, I have a Great Grand Son who might want to take a look around underwater and what better way for a kid to be exposed to it than in shallow water with Great Gramps's arm wrapped around him and breathing off the same rig?

My bail out bottle is the 1/2 cf kind with the built in regulator, good for a few minutes. Since I have only my watch to guess my remaining air supply because I'm dangling at the end of the low pressure hose and don't have access to the high pressure gauge, I might run out of air from one breath to the next. (or two) It seems to me that having a separate air supply is a Good Idea.

I have no experience with a Hookah rig since back in the day when some guys had the floating gas engine kind for two divers so I may end of redoing this rig several times.
