Wow!! That is so cool.

That is so great!!! WoW!!

Last time I was in Kona, I kept hearing them all around me and wished and prayed, but no luck. That is a once-in-a-lifetime event you'll always remember.

Wonderful.

Oh, and yes, the new avatar is great.

I've only had one encounter with a whale while in the water. It was a humpback and I had just finished my safety stop and was on the surface when I saw it very close. So I dropped back down with maybe 750 psi and hung out til I was close to running out.

Sometimes ya gotta make an exception to that 500# rule right?

Very awesome hearing about your dive.

Exciting! Looking forward to the video.

All the diving on this trip has been done to whale song -- last night, we did a night dive, and they sounded so loud I thought maybe we were going to have a second close encounter of the whale kind :) It's eerie and beautiful.

We also had the good fortune to run into a cow and calf on the boat on the way back from Lanai, and the calf was playing and breaching over and over again, and then rolled on its back and waves its pectoral fins in the air. We spent about twenty minutes watching him, and Peter got some fabulous pictures of that, too.

This has been a truly marvellous, amazing trip, both from the marine life standpoint, and from the great people we have met. Hooray for the Internet and Scubaboard!

What a great report. My whole day has been given a nice little kick because of it. I echo all the good words previously left and hope to see the video, too.

Sea ya!
