ever fried a "whole" chicken or turkey? pretty awesome.

it's just that it needs a lot of peanut oil and peanut oil has gotten expensive. (I guess it's gotten harder to oil a peanut these days).

Thats the beauty of this fryer, you don't use oil. It uses infrared technology. I have cooked about 20 turkeys in this cooker and probably around 200 in a grease fryer. It takes about 2 hours to cook and I will be cooking one tonight. I have also cooked many Pork Loins, Cornish hens, and now corn on the Cobb in this cooker. I will never deep fry another turkey in a grease fryer again.

P.S Don't use the top while cooking the turkey until the last 15 min of cooking. You will dry out the turkey if you do. The lid is only used for browning.

Yes in a turky fryer. Lots of work and mess/cleanup. Very tasty though. Much better than baked.

There is a nut shortage. They are all going into politics.
