Over the past two days, I've had trouble in ScubaBoard. Most, but not all, jpg and gif files won't download. A few do but then IE tries to download more then eventually gives up - leaving me with a screenful of empty boxes instead of smileys, hyperlinks and photos. This only happens in ScubaBoard although I notice some other sites that appear to download them slower than usual. I've cleared out my temporary internet files and cookies (what a pain to sign into everything again). I have not changed any internet settings that I know of. Any thoughts? Is anyone else having this prolem?

nevermind - it turns out that I was having the same problem in other sites. I just did not notice it. I evetually hit the [Restore Defaults] button in Internet Options, Advanced screen and everything is back to normal. I figure that I may not have changed my settings but some rogue website could have.

I have had the exact same problem over the past week or so. It has been intermittent so I wasn't sure what was causing the problem. Since we both had it I might presume it was either a scubaboard problem or scubaboard was causing it.

Anyone else??

Eric

ScubaBoard can't change your browser settings (regarding Zipppsy's post) so if changing them fixes the problem then the problem resulted elsewhere.

I am having the SAME problem. I will try RESTORE DEFAULTS....but this is MORE than coincidence! Someone/something in common to all of us is changing something!

As an updated, the settings that were 'changed' when I RESTORED DEFAULTS seem to be unrelated to the problem. The other thing is that IE itself was acting weird by not displaying the IE logo when doing an "About Internet Explorer". If I exit IE and then launch it again, it will (sometimes work) with no other intervention....very strange. My home goes to Google News and the graphics on their download fine EVEN when it doesn't display the logo or hangs up on SB. Go figure.
