is there any truth to there being a jeep under water at fort wetherill?
going there soon. gonna do two dives, daytime. what are the highlights to see there?

I'm told it doesn't look much like a vehicle anymore. There are lots of interesting things to see at Ft. Wetherill though, it just depends on what interests you.

More like a car frame with an engine attached. Its been there close to 30 years and it's easy to dive right past it without seeing it. I don't think it was a JEEP though. But considering it's advanced deterioration...It could be anything you want it to be.

I have seen it. it is a chassis some wheels and an engine block (no way to tell what sort of vehicle it was) half buried in the sand. It is located off that cobblestone beach along the right wall of the cove (aka the Goat Path) with the boat ramp.
