Greetings! I just completed PADI Rescue Diver and Drift Diver. I'm looking to get my own gear beyond mask, fins, and snorkel. I also have a Oceanic Geo 2 dive computer. I'm leaning towards a bp/w setup. My Drift Diver instructor recommended Halcyon (his current setup). He's had it for years without any issues.

I do mostly tropical diving but have also done two at Fort Wetherill, RI. The visibility was at best 1 meter. Are there any places with better visibility in the area?

I dived there a couple of times years ago and have visibilities of 6 and 14 feet in my log book.
