The "industry" just needs to change focus and stop being its own worst enemy. Things like what's happening in Thailand are a perfect example. They are sending in Seals to do a caver's job. They haven't been trained to cave dive anymore than they have been trained to do brain surgery. we need a hero like Edd Sorenson in there to make it happen. Then we'll see a lot of people wanting to take up the sport. I'm an opportunist in this regard. The boys need saving and we need a shining knight.about the need for changes and innovation

Well, to be more accurate, they're worth what they will get for it. If memory serves, the asking price was $1.1B last year, and it sold for $700M.
So, in like a single year the current owners feel they have essentially doubled PADI's value ? (from $700 million to $1200 million)
