@jonix: i guess it's a cultural thing, the "gotta have one" toy of choice for divers is a dry box... when i got mine i realized i didn't have anything really important to put in it! hahahahahahaha

same here! I brought it on the boat for like 2 times with a bunch of straps and my dive comp then realize I really don't need those things to be on a dry box, now I just bring it for students and guests to place their cellphones, cigarettes, Ipods, etc..

im pinoy but i totally abhor ice on beers. best drank frosty on an iced bottle
my preference exactly . . . dont like em ice diluting beer in water.

everbody has those cases here...don't know why really but everyone has them
Those pelican cases are nice and sturdy, I bring em for my phones, wallet, ipod, some paracetamols and sinutabs, candies . . and I can sit on it if there's no flat or smooth surfaces during an SI hehe.

but you must admit... they are pretty cool to lug around...

1st time i brought mine out of the house (not even a dive)... i got a lot of envious stares from people who wanted one (as well as those curious what on earth i had in my "lunch box")

if i can't get a COLD beer in a bar or resto i go for something else... hate ice in my beer... especially towards the end of the glass when the ice has melted and all you get is watery bitter liquid... yuck!

re pelican: i particularly love their tag line: "you break it, we replace it - forever!" talk about astig!

I got my regular toolbox for P130 at the ACE hardware store. I don't really need a drybox (unless the boat sinks) and I found the pelican boxes couldn't really hold much for the amount of money it cost.

My phone is the crappy old school one so I'm not maarte if it gets wet.

And I bet that case could tell a tale or two. ;)

ya but chuck norris couldn't beat the crap out of a pelican... they're just too strong for him

PS
that rubber ducky bag you put in for the xmas raffle (that i won and my wife appropriated) is a great alternative to the drybox...

I bring the dry box sometimes on long trips, and I usually take the bus. . . so if there's somebody who tries to steal it, He can't slash it, plus it makes a good self-defense weapon :D

btw . . im getting myself those rubber ducky ones, they look cute plus they're lighter to bring. .

ishbaby, have you thought about changing your name to tuffbaby?
