I don't know but it should probably have something to do with the underwater pyramid by the hotel... Maybe we could have all the invaders in single file line, walking on the ocean floor each carrying a big brick, making it look like we're building it or something, lol.

So - will the dive shop provide Lion Fish eradication devices? That could make for some fun night diving! :m16:

They don't provide any eradication devices, but I bought one for like 40 bucks online before the last trip that I could put in my large suit-case. While at the invasion, I ended up buying Scuba Jenny's pole-spear from her because I liked it a lot more (the original I had was some sort of a gimmick, honestly - hers was a traditional small sized spear which worked great!)

Another thing I thought be would be cool in the Mujeres area is the underwater sculpture museum. That looks really cool, and really unique!

Hey John, ME TOO! I'm going to come back on Tuesday the 10th I think. I would like to do the cenotes after the group trip... don't want it to cut into my diving and drinking time with the group!!!! Bahahahaha! I was also thinking about visiting Tulum. I LOVE visiting the ruins even if they don't let you climb the pyramids anymore and I haven't visited Tulum yet. Let me know if you want to plan something. Don't worry you'll be safe with me! Bahahahahahahaha! Oh and I can save myself thanks! ROFL!

Eh, not quite what I'm looking for, sorry! hahaha!

I've also never been to Tulum. Always wanted to go, but always got pre-occupied with diving, alcohol, or chasing women instead, lol! I don't know exactly what I wanna do yet, but you can probably count on me for at least 1 day of cenote diving! I don't think my partner from last year (LEANN) will be doing them again, lol.

I have had a number of PM's about the size of this group and how it will effect diving and other things while at the Invasion.

Aggiebq86 posted his impressions of last years Invasion and I believe I could not explain it better. So I copied and pasted it here.

I absolutely enjoyed my time with the group. One comment earlier caught my attention regarding diving with 100 people. If there had been 100 people at the dive site, I would have been upset. If there had been 30 people on the boat I would have been upset. Fortunately, neither one of these happened. At most we had 16 divers on a boat and 8 people in a dive group. Once we were in the water, I didn't see anyone except my 8 man dive group until we surfaced.

During our time on land you could spend as much or as little time with the rest of the invasion crew. That statement was reinforced whenever we had a get together. It was up to us to decide who we saw and what we did. I had a great time sitting around the pool with several different people that I only knew as Texas Torpedo, Scuba Jenny, Lowvizwiz, and Pansiren to name a few. Some nights we went into town for dinner and other nights we ate at Hotel Cozumel. Some nights we went into town for dinner as a group of 6 other times it was just 3 and a few nights it was just 2 of us. Unfortunately there were some I didn't really get a chance to talk with other than when we were on the boat. But, I guess that means we will have to see each other this next year.

Size of the group is irrelevant. Imagine you're on vacation, alone, staying at the Hotel Cozumel & Resort, which is fully booked. Don't you imagine all those people are there to dive? So, :idk: what's the difference? With the exception that now the Hotel Cozumel & Resort is booked with friends, potential friends and other SB associates. Sounds like a +1 to me. :thumb:

That's a start, now we can all try to expand on your idea. Instead of just walking to and past the pyramid, we could have a conga line (and wear fruit laden headdresses?), OR we could attempt to build our own pyramid out of divers next to the real thing - if there is no current to speak of (is that possible in Coz?)

Great idea for a group of divers very familiar with each other. This group ??? someone toward the bottom may panic if the wrong situation develops. :ijs:
