Hy,
I dive since 1990, but only in recent years I started certification iter,

Now I'm a Padi Dive Master and I'm looking to became an Instructor:
here in Europe Instructor certification is really expansive, ok is supposed you'll have your money back), bytheway I'm looking for something cheaper

Here, all inclusive, Padi OWI is around 1.600Eur (2.300$)
other agencies I've contacted, NASE - NAUI ....about the same.

ok, offcourse I'd like a certification well recognised all over the world

any suggestion???? :bounce4:

p.s. sorry for my bad eanglish bross'

I just completed the IDC/IE successfully and used a Singapore Course Director.

I took the IE in Phuket Thailand and had a chance to see several local shops which had many successful IE candidates. May i suggest that you consider doing it over a 2 week program in Phuket. You will do it in warm water for a cost lower than what you suggested in the UK including accomodations and airfare.

Take a look at Scuba Diving Holiday in Phuket, Thailand as Thien Do came across very professional. I plan to use him for futher training.

Good luck.

wow, good suggestion:
same price
3 week tropic holiday + Instructor cert. and
cold water pita cert.....

I've benn in Ko-Thao 20 years ago... other coast from puket, a real paradise...

only disadvantage I can't do it while working here.

you change my prospective: not a different organization, but a different place :clapping::clapping: really good.

other ideas for a cheap instructor certification??

Where are you from?

The prices you mentioned, those are incl. cert. costs I guess?

I think the price of 1600 euro incl. fees etc is fair... Here in Holland I'll have to pay 995 euro for the course and than the fees etc, it will be close to the price you pay. I don't know if the fees are cheaper in some countries/areas, but I reckon they are pretty standard set.

The LDS at which I will do the course next year has a good reputation for good lecture and training, it's close to home (about 60km from here), free parking at night :mooner: and are the same people I did my Divemaster course with.

But I would prefer to do it in the tropics, but I guess it's a good experience to have low viz during training, as we do not have crystal clear water around here.

I thought Italy would have some nice diving too, but it might depend where you live ofcourse.

That's comparable to the cost here in the states. One all-inclusive program I recently looked at was $2,450US including materials and certification fees.

HI, I'd like to do some hard/cold diving in Holland! (I love Holland I've been many times)
I live in Rome, yesterday for example, I have been in the Island of Giannutri... national sea park... some wrecks... really, really a nice day (water at 14C°, great, outside 3C°).

by the way I don't like to spend so much for the instructor course, if would be another agency....

Well, no more diving for me at this moment. Way too cold. 14C water I can handle, but I've been diving in Milford Sound (New Zealand) a couple of years ago and froze my butt off. I think some people are ice diving now. Watertemperature at this time are round 5C and no way I gonna put on my wetsuit and change in the snow.

Back on topic, the cheapest Inst. courses might be in Asia. But then you got to get there, and that may also costs some euro's. I considered to do it also in say Thailand a while ago, but now I'm gonna stick to Holland. Good for the experience and maybe some day I'll teach somewhere tropical too :D
