My AquaLung legend breaths dry in any position. I had no idea having a regulator breath wet was a problem. When I'm on the line for my safety stop, I have a tendency to roll on my back and watch my bubbles go to the surface and my regulator never breaths wet:)

I added some emphasis to the quote above, as there was a regulator a while back (1970s, I think) which incorporated a weight behind the mushroom exhaust valve to act like the spring that you mention. I can visualize that regulator, and I think it was a plastic one--I cannot remember who manufactured it though. Maybe it was the same people who put together the At-Pak, but that is just speculation on my part. But it was out there for awhile.

SeaRat

Thanks Sea Rat. Was not aware of that. Funny, my first buoyancy kit was the AT PAC. Way ahead of their time.

The company that made the at-pak was Sea Pro. I also learned on one and my first bc was the sea-pro travel bc. Weighed less than 4 lbs and was weight integrated, back inflated. Packed up into a small little bag. Wore it until it finally fell apart after 8 years.

Wow , with all the advanced materials and composites today they are having a hard time breaking the 4 pound weight. They were way ahead of their time.

I know!!! I use a transpac now but if seapro (or any other company) came out with that style bc again I would buy it immediately. Loved the way it fit, loved the trim in the water and it dried quickly.

I see from your profile you were certified through NASDS. So was I in 1974.
And a good friend is a school psychologist and dive shop owner. What strange coincidences.

This is a weekend of strange coincidences... went to the lds near me to have the owner (and friend) re-route my hoses on the reg he just rebuilt for me and started chatting about upcoming trips.

I mentioned that I was bringing a group to Dominica in June and we discovered that we are both going there the same week. He and his wife for vacation and me to lead a small group. Now he is planning on booking the same flights as me and looks like we will be doing some diving and partying there as well now. :rofl3:

This might get even stranger. I was on a fam trip to Roatan awhile back and there was a woman from Arizona that was an LDS owner?partner. I'll have to look for her card and see if it's the same LDS as yours.

Well, if the shop was from the greater phx area (including surrounding cities) there's a good chance I know of her athough she may not know me. :blinking:

Off to get some things done so I can pack my gear for a trip I'm leading down to Coz.
