We do all of our diving in warm water locations where the dive operator keeps the gear, rinsing each day and returning to us for the next day of diving. They said it was likely the operator would do it wrong and possibly damage the reg.
Oh, and one more thing. There is zero chance I'd be leaving my gear with a Dive Op to take care of. There might be a slight possibility that I'll leave bulky items, if that's an option. Regualtors and computers would absolutely be coming with me. Most likely the other stuff as well, unless logistically that was impossible.

Ditto.
Rule Nr.1: Don't touch my gear.. :p
I've been on trips where folks extolled the service of never having to touch their own gear from the time they got to the place until they were packing it up to go home. Resort staff put it on the boat, hooked it up, When the boat got back they just walked off leaving the resort staff to off load it, prep it, and have it back ready to go next morning, all hooked up...

That would drive me batsh!t.

To that I'm like "NOPE! I want to do it myself. You'll still get your tip, but I wanna do me".

In fairness, some of them, well, I'm not sure they would know what to do if you told them to put their kit together and make ready for a dive.

True, filling the 1st stage with lube is a somewhat messy extra step, but I got used to it. The compact, versatile first stage, and 3yr service intervall for titanium make it worth for me.

Huish also owns Zeagle, and these regs have a seat saver like Atomic, and are diaphragm regs. @lexvil recommends them, and if I was smarter I'd follow his advice... But Zeagles don't have the squared barrell in the second stage, nor do they come in titanium (which I am in love with).

titanium is unnecessary, the extra corrosion resistance only matters if you are bad about rinsing gear.

It's not necessity, it's a matter of love... :) What is nice about titanium is you can fill the 1st stage with lube and not worry about internal corrosion in the third year, when you inevitably have a mix of lube/water/air in the environmental chamber. Sealed brass 1st stages I'd service at 2 years, unless they were filled perfectly by @rsingler (and topped up once a year). Not sure the rest of us are at his level...

Practicing for the your side job as preacher to the Atomic?

Atomic are some seriously nice rigs, Ti helps prevent those pesky “oh crap did I forget to properly rinse this” moments when you see the green. A Ti sealed diaphragm would be nice, come on SP bring back the 11T in the new EVO style and or a 17T EVO.
