Jason Ooi:What is your profesional advice?
The spec sheet says it uses NiCads... NiCads are obsolete as serious lights go. Maybe that's why they are going cheap.

thepurplehammerhead:I think I'm in HK right now.
If both you and Halthron are right, just let me know where to go and I'll get it today, seriously, if your pricing and H's comments are correct, it's ridiculously cheap!
pakman:Larry, I'm still trying to figure out why you need this in addition to the 21W HID you have... I'm thinking, if you're gonna be diving around with a DSLR housing. Maybe instead of another umbilical/ cannister light, you should look into something you can mount on your housing as a focus/ night light...
I just got this nice little LED baby from Fisheye... sits nicely on top of my housing and output can be adjusted... Sure its not a flamethrower... but just need something small and light on a clear nite dive without frying all the fishies...
thepurplehammerhead:Oooh, if I can get one for $180, it's bought!
Pakman, did you buy in HK?
pakman:same price but direct from Tokyo. amazing that they sell this for 250-270 in the States... talk about a mark up...
It's actually pretty bright. 48 led powered by 8xAA's. a lot brighter than a 44led (5xAA) light I currently use as a focus light.
