Larry, just a thought... your ikelite housing doesn't have a hot shot adapter that you can attach this light to... I guess you'd have to attach it to the arm somehow...

True enough, but my original OLy 8080 had the fisheye plate & loc-line arm that this is designed to work with, needless to say, it's still in my dive bag. I'm sure I can rig something up pretty well.

Only problem is I lost the dealer's contacts otherwise I'd have gone straight back to them, now I've had to hunt.

I sent an email to the Japanese language website's stockist and got a reply $160 excl. shipping, so I just confirmed...:D

that sounds right. The dealer I use in Japan has a slight mark up but he's given me great service on my housing, ports, and strobes.

I forgot you have one strobe so I guess you could mount the fix light on the free ikelite handle.

No longer true - looks as though my old sea&sea YS25 will not be compatible with this rig, so I bit the bullet & got another DS125.:mooner:

Anyone want a YS25:D

Any recommendations for stores to visit in either Tokyo or HK for stuff (edit: camera & lighting) like this?

Ocean Sky Diving in Locke Road Tsim Sha Tsui is pretty good, not enough tech stuff for you though...:)

They do however have a brand new Mistral double hose on a massive discount (7K HK$ down to 4K HK$) that has been haunting my dreams recently.

But I'm poor again...

I mean camera and lighting stuff. (edit re: Pak's comment below. Thanks for the info, I'll pop in on them as well.)

Although I'll probably pop into Mandarin Divers during a swing through Aberdeen.

Halthron, for camera stuff you can check Diving Adventure in Causeway bay.

In Tokyo, maybe D-Aquos, they're one of the bigger dive shops in Tokyo.

It's all in japanese, but its near Kanda station on the Ginza subway line (orange circle) or JR Yamanote line. It's on Chuo Dori (road name) and the other big intersecting road is Yasukuni Dori (which will lead you to the infamous war shrine... ) It's also walking distance from the Akihabara electronics district...

edit: actually Ocean Sky Divers does have a good selection of video and digital camera stuff.

Thanks for the tips. I might as well see what I've been missing, especially with that class by some down-on-his-luck Canuck coming up. :D

I might have to ask you to pick something up in Tokyo for me... Any chance you're hitting HK after Tokyo? There is this new scubapro jetfin model that they only sell in Japan called the Jetfin REVO...

I'll be going through HK after Tokyo (Seoul in between). PM me your size and and if my little shop-a-holics haven't filled the luggage up, I'll see what I can do. After checking the SP Japan site, I can only say that Jets are expensive there!
