i did my o.w.course in the coral sea and wore a 3mm shorty the water was 23/24c sorry don't know in fahrenhite, you should be fine in your 3 mm, but i would suggest a hood or beanie, as your noggin losses 75 % of your heat. make sure someone has hot chocolate waiting for you when you surface.
