If I liked Glocks I might concider that. I really cannot stand them though, the grip angle is all wrong for me and I can't hit the broad side of a barn with one. They just feel "wrong" in the hand.

I do like the Springfield XDS though...... but then again I have been looking for a .357/.38 lever gun (VERY hard to find around here), or mebbe a .22mag rifle. or I could spend it all on ammo. Decisions, decisions....

Well, :D that just leaves more Glocks for me.

Far as I am concerned, you can have 'em all! I do however admire your taste in 1911's.

:humble:

thank you

The Kimbers are the "pretty" guns, the Glocks are working-class guns...for me anyway.

Sounds like a buddy of mine. He bought a Henry Big Boy .45lc with the beautiful brass colored receiver. He has had that gun for about 5 years and it has not moved out of his safe, not fired once. Said he was afraid of scratching it. Not me, all of my guns see use. That is why I bought 'em.

Can't wait for Sunday, second day of our muzzle loader deer season, supposed to get about 6" of snow, gonna take the boy out and play Jerimiah Johnson a bit. Hope to break my sour luck this season. Only deer I have seen in the field was while squirrel hunting and one beside the road when I was leaving after being out all day with my bow.

We had four in our back yard last week. They usually come around at night, but these were pretty bold.

The Kimbers will get fired. I'm anxious to do so, but have been a slacker about scheduling time. I'm actually a little nervous about using one as a carry. The trigger is super light, so once the safety is off you'd best be prepared to shoot something.

The Glock two stage triggers are a little more predictable.

Yeah, I keep threatening to put a tree stand in my back yard. We live in a semi rural area, lots of farms around and all yards an acre or larger, and have tons of nice deer come through. Just does not seem sporting though.

HOA rules disallow the shooting of anything. :(

But yard deer are more like pets than prey.

The mule deer for the people I know that have them wandering into their yard are more like pests than pets. They eat their flowers, schit on their lawns etc. Yes, they are nice to see and cool to watch but if you can't shoot, butcher and eat them............

When I lived in Wyoming the grade school my daughter attended had a moose that would show up on the playground occasionally.

Kentucky has reestablished elk in their mountains. I wish TN and GA would do the same.
