I really liked the new Halcyon fins. They sliced through the water very cleanly when recoiling for the next frog kick. Occasionally, I’ve felt like Jets would sort of catch water when resetting and kill some of the glide. I needed a slightly different angle to finish the frog kick, but it only took a few hundred feet to figure it out. I think because of where the weight is in the fin—closer to the foot—it felt lighter than Jet Fins in a good way. It really felt like the blades wanted to stay up and away from the bottom, and they finished high easily. With Jets, when I get lazy, the fin tips will occasionally drop and push some water downward. The foot pocket is the best I’ve felt. Jets tend to rub the top of my foot raw because the pocket isn’t tall enough. All of that pressure was gone with these.
If you think you're going to end up diving a drysuit eventually too it's nice to carry only one set of fins when you're planning on diving wet and dry in the same trip.
I own a few pairs of Jets and a few pairs of slipstreams for comparison
