Exactly. Surface temp is 39. I saw 37 on yesterday's dive. Maybe I should move south to Oregon.

Yeah, I'd HIGHLY reccomend that. 40 degs and all the mud you can handle. Coast get's hammered straight on, so not much in the way of diving when the ocean gets snotty.

I've had a difficult time dealing with all this cold weather in southern Florida since I moved so far north to get here.
 
Winter isn't that bad! Although the water may get a little colder and murkier, a good drysuit will make winter diving much more enjoyable. I don't know about anywhere else but winter brings big critters like whales and sand tiger sharks to the area. The spearfishing is also at its prime about this year. Come on! Warm, clear water can get boring after a while!
