The cave diving is nowadays mostly forbidden in Hungary (I don't know when and how will change it), sadly only these underwater caves can be compared to world class dive sites- they're certainly only good for certified cave divers. The freshwater lakes isn't that spectacular but in the winter the visibility is bit better than usual and I think in a few weeks we'll have the ice diving season. They organize them on specific days but independent diving isn't allowed in this season. The several dive centers will open late spring, usually dive schools use them with their students. Most of the lakes is owned by private companies or local governments so it isn't possible to dive anywhere you'd like to...
