What would you do if you received an unexpected windfall?

I was wondering what you would do you unexpectedly came in to some money. Nothing big enough to pay for the life of luxury but enough to where it is a nice improvement on that months earnings. Lets say it was $5000 USD. It could be a lottery winning, bonus from work, repayment on a personal loan, inheritance... etc.

Given the economy and the turbulent financial times, what would you spend it on? Would you pay bills, save it, buy dive gear, put it all on red at the casino, pay income taxes?

How would you spend $5000?

Id blow it all on scuba gear, and a trip to some where warm to try out my new toys

x1 & a trip to the yucatan for me & da aquamaster...

I thougt that I would buy a bunch of dive stuff and then I thought I should save it, but I think if I came into an unexpected windfall I would blow it since I was not expecting it. I would get my 2 HP100 tanks, the DC1000 maxx camera kit, and my drysuit.

I would put it in the stock market and double it and buy a rebreather.

Probably spend it on training... would like to do GUE fundies and tech 1/2 eventually but the travelling to the lower 48 is fairly expensive, and the Anchorage GUE shop tends to do split weekend classes.

Might need to go to Florida =)
