The few DIR divers I've seen with yellow covers put the yellow on their primary reg and leave the backup black.

That's what I did with my RG3000 setup. I ordered a RG2015 with a yellow face plate and swapped out the face plate with my RG3000 face plate. So my bunged backup is black and my primary is yellow.

Just a heads up to the board in general. Fred Calhoun has been diving and teaching and preaching here in New England since the dawn of time. For at least the past 15 years he has been sending out (snail mail) "newsletters" to all the LDSs and industry pros whose addresses he can get telling us what we are all doing wrong.........................................

Oh man this is too funny. Hey maybe he can be converted to DIR and replace GI out here on the "internets"
