fdog:
(2) set up for doubles
(1) set up for a single
(1) single set up for pool (nasty chlorine) use
(2) for deco bottles
(1) for a stage bottle
(1) for airgon (suit inflation)
(1) cheap old reg for inflating tires

This is funny -- it's exactly what we have (only we have it times two) and Peter has TWO double hose regulators!

2 Oceanic CDX5's with Delta3 and GT3 for my doubles
1 Oceanic DX4 w/envirokit for singles and pool
1 Sherwood brut- pony/backup/ singles rig with the 3 extra octos and 2 consoles I can put on it
1 Sherwood Blizzard-DIN- w/spg for stage to 50%
1 ScubaPro Mk16 R190 for 100%
1 US Divers SEA 2 for backup/pool/ ****s & giggles
1 OMS argon reg system
All of them get used at one time or another and have saved more than few dives for friends. I may be adding to this next spring. Looking to set up a couple basic student regs for when the shop may be busy. Will most likely buy used and rebuild them myself or watch LP for another CDX5/ alpha sale.

I have a lot of regs because my hobby is buying used ones on eBay, rebuilding them and selling them back. I have trouble passing up a "good deal." but the main problem is the "selling them back part" I seem to forget about so they remain wrapped up in plastic bags in my closet.

Hmmmm, does that make me a closet regulator collector?

Thirty or forty or maybe fifty plus spares should be fine. N

...I'd say that an average, recreational/travel diver should have a minimum of two (2) COMPLETE reg sets.....that's what I bring on my typical dive trip. Sometimes, I've been known to bring 3 complete sets......the most I've ever brought on a trip was 5 (Mexico cave diving..... 1 recreational set + 4 sets rigged for 'doubles'). As far as how many sets I own...well, we won't go into that..... :)

Regs for cave diving,
2xMK25ul with clear G250s for doubles
2xMK25ul with black G250 for stages
1 MK25 brass for 50% stage with black G250
1 MK 25 brass for 100% for deco

Regs for diving wrecks
2xMKsa with 1clear G250, and the other is a white G250 for doubles
1xMK25 brass for stage with black G250
1xMK25 for deco,With black G250

Regs for spear fishing
2xMK25 Brass black G250 for h valve

Open water set
1 MK25T , 2 S600 for trips out of country.

And a few for back up you can not have too many regs.:D

2 - Apex XTX200's for doubles
1 - Aqualung Legend LX for single tank
1 -OMS workhorse for deco bottle
1 - Aqualung Calypso for O2 bottle
1 - Oceanic VT3 that I use to loan to my recreational diver friends

I will probably buy a couple more XTX200's at the beginning of the year for deco/stage bottles.

Along the "how many" note, I have more lights than I can count, 5 wetsuits I use regularly and a couple I don't use and should sell, numerous pairs of fins that have accumulated over the years, a garage full of tanks.....

I have
(1) Dive Rite RG3000 doubles set up
(2) Dive Rite Hurricane single set ups, (1) is my Daughters set up
(1) Dive Rite RG3000 single set up
(1) Scubapro MK17/G250V single set up
(3) Scubapro MK17/R190 pony set ups

I have too many reg set ups, but I like to bring a back-up reg with on all dives.
I also just can't pass up a good deal on a reg.

I'm wierd. I own ONE regulator. I also own ONE guitar. One of my sons has 12 guitars, the other has eight. They each own one regulator. Go figure...
