It looks perfect. I have a book copyright 1955 that shows this harness.
I have been informed by "Bajahaha1" that the previous description of my ebay purchased "Mega-cool back pack" (see attached) is incorrect. Here is the correct information on this antique harness:
"It is NOT a 1955 model--those seen in various books were made from modified WW11 US Army mountaineering back packs.
The unit you are displaying is a US Divers model # 0666-03 "2 in 1 PAC." It can be viewed on page 7 of the 1962 catalog. The listed price was $22.00 for the single or double tank model.
In early 1960s US Divers, under the direction of John Culley displayed yellow and black as the company colors of their products. They immediately became known as the "Great Yellow importer," since many of their products came from the US Divers affilate in Japan, Nipon Aqua Lung and to a lessor degree from Aqua Lung du Brazil.
So any time you see yellow and black it is a reasonable assurance that the product is US Divers and it generally can be dated from around the early 1960s
In the 1963 it is listed as #0817 for the single tank model and 0817-40 for the double tank model with a priceing of $17.50 and $25.00 this model had yellow cloth shoulder and crotch strap and a black 2 inch waist band.
The first model of this unit appeard in the 1961 US Diver catalog as#816 as the Aqua Lung "2 in 1 Pac" it appeared on page 8 and listed for $19.95. This, the first model had all black webbing harness.
These were not popular units, however, they were probably the most confortable units ever produced and marketed by US Divers."
Thank you Bajahaha1.
