Good to know. I sport (and will continue to) a mustache, so I find myself constantly purging my mask. The easy purge feature seemed like a bonus.

This is self-deception. You do not need to blow into the mask without the need to clear it of water.
And at the moment of cleaning (squeezing water out of the mask) the valve will play a negative role - (either a booger from the nose, or sand or hair - will leave a leak through the valve back into the mask).

Have you got a fridge mate, full of food, electricity to it, I find these requisites quite important
