I think I'll try to get my horn in the ultrasonic without touching the crown or label.

It's all about chemistry mate, like on here

unless you're doing Poseidons, where their manuals advise HYDROCHLORIC
What did they do with that thing? Take it in salt water? Mine still looks like new.

You'd know just as much as me, I'd say salt then thrown in the gear bag with the damp crumpled wetsuit and stuff
to be washed in the ocean next time, but never dived again

Hey but it hadn't been opened and messed with, so perfect

But that's where I dive and in conditions where everything gets trashed and dented, yoke knobs bent
so no NIB NOS for me

Phoenix nozzle knob far too out of keeping and modern for me

Look at the sharp edges on the nozzle nut, crap

Mine isn't NOS, it is a diver. I just got it from another Great Lakes diver. I would guess from the finish of my chrome it has never seen salt.

that's a pretty one!
Thanks. I was pleasantly surprised to see how good of shape it was in when I got it apart. The hoses and mouthpiece seem to be sound but I can't really get them "clean" enough where I want to breath through them.

Having a phoenix should take some of the pain away....
