I sent the OP a PM, and will send him a new reg overnight shipping.

I can't wat to get his back and see it....:shake

head:

Chris,

Your PM storage is full and I can't send you one. Please confirm if you received my previous PM with address and if you'll be sending a replacement.

Double Wow, that is interesting. I wonder how much force it would take to break that housing...
Just looking at mine, the plastic is around a 1/8th of an inch thick there.

Usually the body of most regulators is made with seriously strong plastic to prevent exactly what you have...

Wonder what happened?

It takes much less force than you'd think... sigh, speaking from personal experience here... over-tightening will do that (or attempting to loosen a very stuck fitting).

I shattered a "stuck" Scubapro G250 2nd stage when trying take it completely apart for service :depressed: I learned a very hard but valuable lesson. I should have been patient & soaked it overnight once I realized the fitting was frozen, but was in a hurry, and thought I could make it "budge" with just a hair more pressure on the wrench.... it was one of the 1st "ebay" regs I bought to practice rebuilding, and I wrecked it with far less force than you'd imagine, using a short-handled wrench :shakehead:

Best wishes.

KUDOS to Chris at Edge. He stepped up and responded when he really didn't have to. I bought the problemed HOG reg from one of his distributors but he is providing me with a new HOG reg AND sending it One Day (overnight) UPS on his dime so that I can take it with me to Cozumel Tuesday. I love it when a maker stands behind his product this way. It says a lot about a person.

Thank you Chris.

Sure left me feeling more confident about my recent HOG purchase.

I'm curious to hear the conclusion as to why it's broke if any can be determined.
