Hmm my Father passed away a couple years back.... is your Dad still around? hmm maybe I shouldn't ask that here...I know you won't answer unless you want to and of course you know I am ok with that too :hugs:

Both my parents are gone.

Oops, now that would be a difficult one. :shakehead:

not for me but I do confess part of me was thinking... "This is just bizarre!"

:rofl3:I knew what I was getting into taking the position!:rofl3:

When the superintendant phoned to tell me I was the successful candidate... I said "Thanks... I guess"

He said... what do you mean? I told him that anyone who got the position of managing that station and went "Wow isn't this great" clearly had no appreciation for what they were getting into!

His answer... "Um... well..... I guess I better admit you are right... welcome aboard"
:rofl3::rofl3:

hmm :hugs: you sure have had a rough go of it my friend:shakehead:

I have plenty of caring people in my life.... and one in particular. :)

yes... the important thing is we can build a circle of caring people into our lives... and they don't have to be relatives.... :shocked2: but some we can turn into relatives :eyebrow:

Unfortunately not everyone is capable of unconditional or even honest caring for anyone but themselves.... how sad:shakehead:

I have met people who enjoy their misery:depressed:... do nothing but focus on it...it they don't have dramas in their lives they borrow them from other people:shocked2:

I always figure you can measure the quality of a person by who chooses to call them friend and who they chose to call friend:no:

Isn't it wonderful when you spend time with someone and come away thinking .. Isn't that a wonderful person? I am so lucky to have them in my life!

I read once.... If you want to know what REALLY matters in your life...think about what makes you smile when there is no one around to see you smile... that is the most honest emotion you ever experience... because it is not for show...

Some people like to wallow in their misery, it's a sort of martyrdom I think! :shakehead:

Then I'm very lucky with my friends, because they can make me smile just thinking of something they've said. :D

I haven't quite got to the point of laughing out loud though; they might think I've lost the plot completely if I did that! :rofl3:

I learned that from a secratary I had once. I would come in to work and she always had something to complain about.... I would try to cheer her up and feel so bad for her until I realized she didn't WANT to be cheered up... she didn't want to be happy:shakehead: omg how sad!

Poor dear inherited $150,000.00.... this would be 20 years ago now.. and she was sooo upset...it wasn't enough money to buy the house she REALLY wanted... she had to settle for buying it and having a mortgage!:shakehead: Then she inherited some more but it wasn't enough then either...

:rofl3::rofl3:me too... but I don't mind laughing out loud tho... if someone wants to think I am crazy go for it.... :eyebrow:
