actually Escapeartist commented a while back another variation of that expression which my grandmother used to say "Keep your words soft and sweet... you never know which ones you will have to eat!" nicer version of the same concept

Probably one of the most ironic was an incident in the ambulance service. The fellow that interviewed me and hired me into the service and was my boss for a while wound up working under me later. At one point I had him in my office which had been his office and discussing performance issues.... explaining the disciplinary process that I would have to follow if the inadequacies were not corrected:doh2:

yep and if you can't be a good winner then be a good loser... and there is nothing annoys a poor winner more than a gracious loser that you can't lord it over
