And Sas......I'm glad you liked them. Thanx for the compliment. I really love taking pics but, I'm sure you and Petunia get that too. :)

Hi again Ladies. I am only back to let Tig know that the snow is coming.

I went to take Jack out before bed and OMG there has to be at least 4 inches of snow out there right now and it does not look like it is stopping anytime soon. Wow was not expecting that much snow. I did say that we would get one and maybe two more snow storms after that last warm up. Well today is two. No more snow, do you hear that Mother Nature, NO MORE SNOW.

Fish made a really interesting statement at the dive shop. He pointed out how lucky we are here. We have so many shore dive options. Lots to see and other dive locations within day trip range. Viz isn't the greatest... the temps aren't all that wonderful but you CAN dive most of the year.

Diving is good enough to be worthwhile but not so good that when you go away for tropical diving your aren't blown away by it.

We get decent diving but get to enjoy the clear viz and colour and ma****ng critters on tropical stuff. Can you imagine diving tropical all the time.. then everything will seem bland by comparison!

hmm my typo thought I was cussing and did an auto bleep... how funny is that?

Yuck. Thanx for the heads up. It started awhile ago here and they are talking 4-6 tonite and 1-2 more tomorrow.

Gotta wear cute sweaters to keep the spirits up!!

No joke. You guys have it made.

Thats why we dive our a$$es off when we go to tropics. After diving in Green Poop water....we try and get all we can. :D We had 20 hours of underwater time that week in Bonaire.

You should check out flights....

right now for Apt, truck and diving is $500. No joke. I was trying to figure out how I could swing it again this summer. :D

I think that deal runs thru end of year...If you are interested, I'll send you the link.

Hmm I would love to but doubt I will get to go for *ages*. This year I am going to NZ with Daniel and also Fiji with my dive buddies. Fiji we are there for 10 days and have at least 16 dives planned, should be awesome! (But, will cost a lot :P) Next year is the US and Ireland for a trip to see family. Hopefully I can squeeze some diving in on that trip though :)

Yea Melbourne is the same. There are over 100 shore diving spots plus tonnes of boat diving. The wrecks are in 3-100m+ and there are a bunch at each depth so plenty for everyone. Also heaps of marine life to see. However, the viz is often dodgy and it gets a bit cold, but not cold enough to make diving all year tough! :) (Though I am going back in my drysuit soon, as soon as I get my p-valve) Even though my last dive yesterday was at night in a pier with <2m viz, where we had to walk through layer of slime to get there, there were still awesome things to see such as a short-head worm eel and also a velvetfish :)

Sas....where are you going to be in the States??

And I can't wait to see all of what I know will be amazing pics from your upcoming travels!!

You gotta get the dives while you can... I just wouldn't be dedicated enough to dive in the green stuff with no viz and nothing much to see...

The way I see it.. we all have our drawbacks... our water tem is better here than Melbourne but I think your viz is a bit better on average. Mind the work they are doing on extending Port Botany isn't helping neither is the work on the desalinization plant I suspect.

Good job on the velvetfish they are darn hard to spot sas!
