Hollywood Divers in Hollywood are a good group of people and I use them as a Local Dive Shop. I haven't personally taken a class with them (or anyone else for about 20 years), but everyone who I've spoken with who has is very happy with the quality of instruction.

That's only about a half hour drive from you (depending on traffic).

Allen,

Hollywood diver's is a great shop (Speak to Hal, Kareem or Bill); I'm always in/out of there. Haven's Reef is another choice (Speak to Karen Elaine or Scott); I got all my training through them.

Both shops have knowledgeable and courteous staff.
