It gets easier as they get a little older. The chewing thing( oh yeah I have a 5 year old male lab who was supposed to be chocolate but registered yellow but is really red) Make sure there is plenty of HIS things he can chew and tear up. We still use the ring style rawhides he loves to hold them with one paw. Just keep training they are like small children they want to learn all the time. The crate and leash was used for the potty and it was almost no work at all. Labs Rule
