I would use the Conshelf first stage coupled to the Aquarius second and the yellow USD octopus. I prefer the all metal second stages. The plastic ones seem to dry my mouth out something awful but I don't have that problem with a metal second.

here are the 3 set ups i did

#1 U.S. Divers Conshelf first stage with aqua lung micra adjust 2nd, Ocean Edge Computek dive comp and Conshelf 22 octo.

#2 sherwood first stage with conshelf 22 2nd stage, oasis2 octo and depth and pressure gauge

#3 Calypso first stage with sherwood 2nd stage, aquarius 2nd stage as the octo and a pressure gauge

You need to spend less time shopping and more time diving. :)

I might would move the SEA to the top of the list. Internally, the Conshelf and SEA are identical but I like the hose routing of the SEA a little better and from a maintenance point of view the SEA is a lot easier to do quickie field repairs on. The balance chamber and HP seat, the 2 most likely problem items are easily accessible without a total disassembly. One issue you will have with the SEA is some of the LP ports are 1/2inch instead of 3/8s. You need a special hose or IMO a better option is to put a 1/2to 3/8 adapter in the 1/2 port. It's a cheaper option and eliminates the need to find to odd ball hose.
