Got a well loved aluminum plate, relatively standard size (15” by 10.5” at the widest points, 3mm). Shape similar to Subgravity, Halcyon and OxyCheq but bolt holes/ cutout patterns don’t match. No makers mark. Does this look familiar to anyone?

I have Oxycheq SS and Dive Rite Alum plates that look highly similar but they have more holes along the outside edges. They are both about 20 years old, when a plate was just a plate. Are you trying to figure out if their "Free Parts for Life" program is still active? :eyebrow:

Indeed a plate is a plate but so long as there’s a $200 differential in price for pretty much the same plate among makers ($50 Ali Express vs $250 Halcyon ones and everything in between), it might be good to know who made this when I go to sell it. I got a few and will probably get a short instead.

That illustrates some of the absurdity surrounding that style of plate. A $200 difference for a design that is basically the same across all brands, they all have a channel, they all have very similar slots on top for shoulder straps that have never been redesigned so the webbing doesn’t rub on one side, the lower waist slots have never changed. Some are flatter that others and some have a steeper bend, but overall they are very similar, similar enough that if you were to do a blind test you wouldn’t know what you’re wearing. Material doesn’t matter as much as people think. Even ones made in China using the cheapest lowest grade stainless will do fine as long as they are rinsed well.
The one you have is probably more generic since it doesn’t have any stampings or branding on it.
Price it anyway you want. If it’s too high then keep dropping it until it sells. The market will determine it’s value.

Protip: Its not a halcyon.

The others are all about the same price, ones with fancy 'features' go for a little more.

Its a basic plate, its not worth much more than the street sign they're made out of.
