Hello from Miami, Florida

Hello everybody, I just have a quick question for you all...
does anybody have experience with the SeaLife SL960D and non-sealife cameras?
I have a Fuji Finepix F11 in a Fuji WP-FXF10 housing and just got the SL960D universal strobe... is it absolutely necessary to forever glue the fiber link adaptor to the housing? what if I don't want to use the strobe all the time?
