Hello to you all! I just recently got my open water certification, anyone have recommendations for some good dive sites and centers in the South Florida/Keys area? I did my ow dives at French Reef and I'm looking at where I should go next!

Welcome. If you like fairly large dive boats with no-added charge guide service, Rainbow Reef Dive Center is quite popular. If you prefer a smaller '6-pack' boat without the no-added charge guide service, Quiescence gets good reviews. I've noticed a bit farther south past Key Largo, Conch Republic gets excellent reviews.

I dove with Rainbow Reef Dive Center way back in 2013, so my info.'s out of date as a lot has changed, but maybe the report can give you some idea what's going on. You'll want to pick up an AOW certification if you want to dive deep wrecks like the Spiegel Grove, Duane and Bibb, unless things have changed.

I've been to Jupiter twice. That's a bit farther along for when you have more experience (and AOW and nitrox cert.s - I highly recommend nitrox for Jupiter, from what I saw).

And shark feed diving, even if you have no objection to it, is something I don't recommend rushing into! But just so you know it's out there:

Be aware of Blue Heron Bridge; I've only been once, it's famous and surprisingly nice. I haven't dove out of West Palm Beach or Boynton Beach, but you can find trip reports by others here for them.

@drrich2 Thanks for the info! I got certified at Rainbow Reef and thank you for the recommendations in regards to smaller dive centers in the area! The blue heron bridge sounds pretty nice since it's a shore dive, I'll look into that for sure!

For dive centers, you can't beat Aqui Water Sports in Lauderdale by the Sea. These folks are top notch.
