Heavy wetsuit that requires the same amount of weight, but is soft and comfortable. I understand it’s expensive too.

I just heard about an extremely warm, like seven mill or five mil wetsuit that was extremely thin. The word on the street is you have to use the same amount of weights. The suit is, however, extremely easy to move in. Has anybody heard of that?

Yeah it was challenging just thinking about getting in and out of my swag today and it was set up inside my house

Well by definition a 7mm suit is 7mm thick, 5mm is 5mm thick but my guess from the scant info is you are thinking of a sharkskin T2 which they claim to be equivalent to a 5mm wetsuit. I have the T2 top and as a wet suit it is nothing like they claim, I think I would put it closer to a 1.5 to 2mm suit at best. I’m now using it as a top layer under my drysuit where it does a good job.

I appreciate each and everyone of your responses. Thank you. I decided to go Goldilocks and call it a day. I’m going lava core under a scubapro three mil. I might be cold. But, I need to minimize my weight someway. Looking for the perfect wet suit is a daunting task. At least I’m finished with it.

I use sharkskin T2, hood, top, bottom and 5mm boots. I stay warm in Florida waters (70 degrees and above).
