It's still a long way away and it's just called "nine" at this point, but the National Hurricane Center shows a disturbance that is forecast to become a hurricane by Tuesday and headed right for the Caribbean. It bears watching.

I've been watching that one as well but it is unlikely to be anything more than a rain event for Cozumel. Once it crosses into the Gulf, though, who knows?Long ways out and there is a TD forming right SE of Cozumel. Would be keeping an eye on that vs Isaac at this point.

Still a week away and a lot can change, still planning on heading down this weekend for a dive fix. It's been 7 weeks too long and I am jonesing.
