Hey, thanks for starting this thread, my hands are on the large size and I have trouble getting the rings to work, even the Vikings, this may be an option. I'll have to ask about them at the LDS... Still a little leary about the glove sizing though... Thanks again...

15 seconds is impressive, I'd like to see him give lessons on that :p

her actually :) (all 5'0 of her -- so if she can do it, you can!)

Seriously though next time I dive with her I will see if I can persuade her to let me get a video. it's scary -- one minute bare hands, next you hear the splash of her entering the water.

SiTech best I can recall recently came out with a large version of their ring system for larger hands.

One of the nice things about getting a ring system that uses the Atlas blue gloves (and the Si Tech, Viking bayonet and DC all do) that is to say, the plain ones without seals one them, is that they are so cheap at $5 or so a pair that you can buy several different sizes and experiment to find the one that fits best.

I'm also interested in the ringless solution. I bought a pair of the 4mm Deep See Dry Comfort gloves, but getting the seal to work seems possible but tricky - haven't dove them yet. But I'm wondering why not just buy latex gloves (like the OMS ones) or well fitting cleaning gloves with a smooth surface, use a neoprene glove or thinsulate glove under it, put them on before donning the drysuit and then when you don the suit's wrist seals should seals with the gloves surface instead.

Here's a pic from another forum with someone trying it with the cleaning gloves:

Seems iffy most, ringless gloves have anothe latex seal o nthem in my undrestanding, I would imagine that moving your hand the wrong way in that set up would creat ripples in the glove just like happen in your wrist when your hand is tense, and that the cold water will run down into the suit anyway.

For those who may have a problem with putting these gloves on - have a look here

You can buy them through seeman sub

Some guys use them in very cold waters - such as Sweden or Norway. And that they are the best. Others say they are worthless.

I dove with a guy from Finland that was used to diving very cold water and he swore by the Nordic Blue dry gloves although one of us always helped him don them....
