The problem with the neoprene light socks ... and to a lesser extent the velcro straps ... is that it's difficult to switch hands. This means every time you need to use the hand it's mounted on for something else, you not only effectively remove your light from what you're using it for, but you're being a significant distraction to any other divers in the area.

That's why goodman handles are preferred ... it's simple to switch hands with them ...

Or get a sock that has the neoprene hand wrap and bungee for the wrist. That's a good compromise if you can't find a way to mount your light to a goodman handle.

Would also solve your twist ON-OFF light problems with a neoprene light sock that wraps around your hand and wrist.
 
Our mount works well with our light because it has a hole to activate the push button switch.. One hand operation..
