Whoa...looks like diveseekers.com removed it from their website already. Looks like someone leaked the info a little too soon.

Yup, I guess I'll just have to wait a few months to see it in person.

Maybe its a marketing ploy to see if there is any interest in a product that departs from their DIR roots?

Looks like they removed "DIR Dive Systems" from all of the logos?

No doubt this isn't the finished product. :palmtree: Bob

I like the ability to be able to quickly adjust the webbing as I go from a drysuit with a very lofty undergarment to a 3mm suit or even just trunks. I don't particularly care for the padding.

Does anyone have a direct link they can pass along or a yootoob video they can embed? I'm not finding the video on the DIVESeekers.com website...

This happened a little while ago; Halcyon, GUE, etc. have been looking to get away from the "DIR" label for quite some time now.

What is this system, just a quick-adjust padding webbing for bp/w?

Sort of. It's still a single, continuous 2" webbing, but it looks like there are some bolt-on parts to the backplate which allow for instant adjustment of the shoulder/waist straps without affecting the position of the hip d-ring or canister light attachment point.

The padding is an add-on part to the existing harness as well, but according to the video it isn't part of or required for the adjustment system.

I also spent some time with the unit at Dutch while having a friend demo a BP/W. Looks like a great idea if your switching from wet to dry or dry to wet. Also I have been after the shop to have a demo rig and this will save time on adjustments. The only issue I have is all the fluff, padded shoulders, and back plate.

Not that I work for a shop but spend to much time there. This season I sold four Halcyon BP/W rigs to friends. The first had all the old logos the second and third had a miss match of the old and new. The last one had all new logs. So the DIR on the logo is working it's way out of the system. This shows you that the H is working hard at expanding the market.

One thing is for sure, Halcyon makes some great products. :D
