Well, if Dave shows up, you could just use his drysuit. He'll be too busy sleeping anyway!

:D

Somehow I doubt Dave uses a size S womens drysuit! But hey, I can't turn down a perfectly good drysuit. I just hope you're okay with getting it back slightly altered, Dave. ;)

aww man. im busy teaching this weekend. maybe next time!

Tony, that's frigin' hilarious...what to do without that pee valve, eh?

Bob and I should be out at Haigh this Sunday, see all then...

You need a new suit man...your other one is disgusting!

You don't have to tell me! The last charter we were on, there were gasps and jaws dropping when I pulled my suit out of the bag. You would have thought that I pulled out a corpse! I certainly got my money's worth out of the suit- even the zipper on the drysuit bag is starting to go.

How is the vis at Haigh right now? Their web site as said 35' all summer, but I've heard that it isn't true.

The vis at Haigh is improving from the summer, although the tannic layer is settling down, so you get some striking views. The last 5' towards the bottom of the 50' section are like tea- dark, light absorbing tea. As you descend you will know you are in it because the world in front of you will disappear. Above that, is usually a wispy layer of smoke caused by precipitates that are floating along on their merry way. And finally, above that, the water is generally clear, maybe 20'+. The deep hole will probably be scary and stinky with hydrogen sulfide (smells like teen spirit and rotten eggs), but the rest of the quarry should be good. This is great drysuit weather since the surface isn't much different than the water.

Hey guys,

I can't make Haigh this Sat.(tomorrow), but probably will next. I want to see everybody's new suits! I'll be playing with my new b'day present, not a new drysuit but something pretty cool.

I talked to a guy who dove there a couple days ago. Said he could easily see the Flamingo from the surface. Said viz was good, but water was pretty cold.

Wait a minute, a person said they could actually see the Flamingo from the surface? Are you sure that he was diving at the same Haigh Quarry in Kankakee, IL?:coffee:
