Thought about Cabelas Alaskan guide model, 6 person, buy tent now for $299 get dlx vestibule free while on sale. But thats a big tent.

I thought that I was buying to big a tent when I purchased my 10 man tent. I camped with 3 plus one labrador retreiver. My tent had two seperate sleeping rooms and one central high area. The wife and I had one room while our son had the other room, lab slept on the floor this time around. We also had a large cooler in there with our food, plus the usual assortment of duffel bags with clothes and an additional bag of munchie food. This tent was big enough to accomodate us plus we could have brought my other lab as well. I have 3 accordian style camp cots that let us push or duffel bags of clothes and bags for sleeping bags under. These will also elevate you off of the ground as well. You would be surprised how quickly this tent filled up. My tent is a coleman that I purchased from Target for around $200 I think. It is pretty nice and I can set it up by myself, but it helps to have an extra hand.

NEW bigger Bunk house. which by the way all bunks have been spoken for unless people want to have a private meeting with me and we can talk bribes and greasing my palm with green paper and other such methods to advance you to a bunk and bump somebody out. If you have a sleeping bag and dont have a tent I do have some floor space available. Read above about moving off of the floor to a bunk.

OK were shaping up nicely I noticed my last update didnt show up so I kind of scanned through the pages to check on who is bringing what. So I might have missed something if I did please let me know.

About a month to go looks like things are pretty much all set.

Well, a couple hundred posts later, I guess I need to figure out what to bring. I was planning on some cookies and/or granola bars. I could also bring a case or two of bottled water (gtxl1200, you've got the list -- tell me what'd be best). I'll be bringing (and sleeping in) my tent and since it's just me, I've got space for another maybe two (technically, it's supposed to be a 5-6 person tent, but you have to really like each other for that to be true).

Water sounds good. granolas are good to for a quick after dive snack also. I know someone else mentioned it but I must have not seen the post again to put it on my list so you and the other person should make enough water.

What about ice? Should I bring a couple big bags of ice in a cooler so we can have ice to put in cups for drinks? Hubby is coming along so I'll have the truck and can bring along more bug-free wood if needed just let me know. I'll bring along a veggie tray (I'm a rabbit what do you expect ). I'm going to open up the weekend to my advanced students, hopefully they will take advantage of it. I'll know more when time gets closer, class doesn't start until the end of March.

Bring firewood, I can only haul so much on the hitch hauler since I got a camper in the bed.

Looks like we are closing in on 18 days till the Meet & Greet time to start finalizing those plans. Jp has a double header on Friday so I will be down by myself. I hope to con the wife to bring him on Saturday unless someone will be coming near or thru Jackson on Saturday?

Ted, I will bring a couple of coolers with ice also.
