Can't wait to meet up with you guys! After getting my OW with the Ford Sea Lancers last October I've been dying to get back into the water. Will there be any chance I can beg/blackmail/greese palms to get my AOW down there so I can go on the night dive? If not I'll just have to sit by and drink all that wonderfull homebrew.....hmmm

To repeat, we had several divers last year that did the night dive. They did not all have an AOW. Anybody that wants to do a night dive is welcome to do it. I was in both of the groups last year and the only real issue that we had was the diver who joined us late and added an extra light to our count. (He followed our HID beams, swam above them and dropped down to join us.)

Brian, between all of us there is ample enough experience that we can accomplish a night dive even if they are not AOW.

Yep, I quite agree. Drysuits are much the same way in my opinion. If someone wants to try a drysuit and we have spares that will fit the people, well....

Diving.........at night............ while it is dark out............with flash lights.........BRILLIANT! Count me in for some of that night diving, I hope my little 10 watt HID will be sufficient for use underwater.

AHEEEMMM !!!...that was not a night dive...I sear.

As for this thread, how did a good thread abotu home-brews get de-railed into whatever direction it went?

Again, I do not know my schedule for the month of April as of yet. If I'm available, there's a good chance someone with a deep fryer will show up. If the fryer doesn't have room in the vehicle (y'all might meet Mrs. Big-T and the rug-rats) I'll be certain to bring something. If it's a main dish we need, Sandiwch meat platters are always easy and feed a number of people.

I am pretty sure we didn't intend on it being a dusk dive, but when you don't bring all of your equipment with you to the dock, but still intend to make the leap of faith anyway. Well you know how these things go, sometimes you just forget to put your fins on.

T you may not have realized how this works but threads have been put back on topic. It has already been pointed out that we talk way to much about drinking for a dive group. I would suspect that you will again provide the cooler for keeping product chilled?

as derailed as this thread has been, its been a lot of fun.
maybe it would be better to start a 'new official meet & greet thread' and let this one get back to homebrew :)

If I am there, I can promise there will be a good amount of cooler space.

As for the fins thing, I think it would have been a sight for the ages to see good 'ol what's his name again? get out of the water with no steps and no fins.
