... - arg, why does everything have to get in the way of diving!

My sentiments exactly!!!!!:( :(

You guys need to get your priorites in line. I quit my job for nearly 2 years because it was cutting into my dive time. I refer to it as the period of blissful unemployment!

Has anyone Heard from Diver Paula? she is usally up for these things and I haven't heard her chime in yet.

Nope. I also don't recall seeing anything (at least recently) from Mitten Diver or Ted.

I've heard from Ted. He is on some sort of mandatory overtime at work and won't be there.

I had sent a PM to John (mitten) a couple weeks ago and haven't heard anything back. I just sent him and Paula e-mails. Hopefully those will get a response.

Still here and not dead. I have just had a pretty wild summer including a ton of hours at work, my mom had a double bypass, then my Grandma had a heart cath and a couple of stints followed by my Mom going back in and getting 4 more stints. Seems like I spent all summer at a hospital or work.

I still have not decided what I am going to do yet about the Meet & Greet. I have a 50th wedding anniversiry party that weekend for the owner of the company that I work for here in Jackson scheduled between 2 and 5pm. So I am not sure if I will do the Friday night thing and Saturday morning or if I would come down after the party on Saturday and stay through Sunday. I am torn because Friday night my oldest plays Football, so I would have to miss that game.

Either way I would like to make it down as I have some gear that I would like to get rid of. Namely a Scuba Pro 7mm semi-dry suit, an OS drysuit and a couple of Balance BCs. So being there on Saturday morning would probably be a better option for me.

Mitten,
Glad to hear you are still alive and kicking. I'm still waiting for those drying rack plans. Just wouldn't be a M&G without you.

Well I may not get to come up after all. My husband and father-in-law are on a business trip in Vegas and my father-in-law has ended up in the hospital.

I'm definitely out as well. Got an ear infection and got some very strict orders from the doc that I'm not allowed to get any water in my ear until it gets rechecked on October 9th :(

I will swing by the in-laws tonight and snap some picks for ya. My dive trailer is sitting out there awaiting some additional customization.

I've been debating coming. I've been weighing the pros and cons. I'm also trying to get a few of my regular dive buddies to come down for it.

One big con unfortunately is the weatherman is forecasting rain all weekend. What is everyone doing about the rain, with the exception of keeping on your dry suit. Works good against the mosquitos too, but a bit awkward after a while. My thought is to put down a foam mat and sleep in the back of my Avalanche, and bring one of those open sided tent things.

I've been thinking of bringing some Clam Chowder, but I don't have a stove to heat it with. Can anyone help out with that part?

Also, would anyone be interested in buying some AL80s. I think they have 1 to 3 years on them before needing hydro. I want to move up to HPS 100, and they are taking up room, not to mention the cost of VIPs each year.
