Will this meet and greet stay at Gilboa even if the quarry conditions are severly degraded by the extreme flooding that has taken place in Ottawa, Ohio? I read elsewhere that the quarry has been flooded from the adjascent river and the vis is almost zero. I have to believe that the campground areas and parking will be very much degraded or destroyed. Just curious.

I haven't seen anything about the quarry and flooding. A friend sent me a message asking me to meet him at the quarry tomorrow to help Mike keep the water back since another storm is coming. Not sure what's going on but if I'm not busy I'm going and I'll post about it.

I can check my "stock" when I get back from vacation, I may have an XS I'd be willing to part with but I recommend you take it to a shop to be checked out since it hasn't been used in a few years.

I'll do the same. My sister started diving when she was 11. You'd have to have it checked out as well.

We will be in a wait and see mode since the Meet & Greet is still a month away. So go ahead and purchase the wine and we will let you know.

Are the roads around the quarry passable? either off of 15 or 65?

I don't have a clue. Will have to get ahold of Jodi or Mike and ask but I don't have time right now.

The BC is an extra small US Divers "Sonic 2", I'll have to find the inflator hose for it. It looks new and I used it mainly as a back-up so it didn't see a lot of time in the water. I'm heading to Tobermory in the morning but if you're interested shoot me a PM and I'll get back with you next week when I return.

Gilboa should be a "go" for the Meet-n-Greet. They managed to keep the river from getting into the quarry via the overland route. Divers that were in on Saturday said "12-15" on the visibility but didn't say if that was inches or feet

Mike and Jody must be about ready to puke after all of this mess they have been through. I am going to try and maximize my help to them financially. Maybe others could consider doing the same. Maybe others could find some new ways to help financially besides what I can come up with.

1) I will get my tank fills at the quarry rather than at a dive shop prior to arrival.
2) I will pick up a T shirt or two from the office.
3) I will buy extra trout chow to feed the swimmy guys.
4) I will buy some food and drink from the office.
5) I will stay the night on sight rather than go to a hotel.
