Hello everyone. Been certified a little more than a year. Wish I'd started 30 years ago. Finally jumped in last year when my son was ready to give it a shot. He's 12 now and a better swimmer (and probably a better diver) than I am. Spoiled by a few dives in the Caribbean and Key Largo; wish there were better places to dive nearby (Atlanta suburbs).

Well, don't fret, you are diving now. Just dive more to make up for it. I know tropical dives are nice, but diving in crappy less than perfect conditions is great practice and skill building. I suggest you check out some groups in your area and keep practicing those skills. You should check out Deep Dixie Divers - ScubaBoard and also, consider some spring dives for better visibility, although colder.

Come dive with us! Lake Lanier Looney Birds we dive at West Bank Park usually. Of course within 2 hours or so you have Loch Low-Minn (Athens Tn.) and Alabama Blue Water (Pelham, Al) 4 hours is Lake Jocassee, 6 hours the gulf and coastal SC/NC
