Is that a real thing in today's day and age, or were regulators built different years ago? I'm not following how unless hose routing has changed somehow?

I don't feel that way about my regular manifold, hoses seem ok.
If you don't use swivel turrets and use something like a DS4 there is a pretty wicked bend right at the ferrule which is where they are most prone to fail. The longer neck valves minimize the bend radius but the angled back valves minimize the bend angle which is better. It is more pronounced on 8" diameter tanks than it is on 7.25" tanks

Ahh..that makes perfect sense... I have all swivel turrets. I can see how another reg would have issues, thanks Tom.

Believe it or not, people still dive with Poseidons. They have horrible hose routing. The setback valves make them route considerably better.

It's just my inexperience with a multitude of regs. I found one I liked and stuck with it.

I've seen Poseidon's, I just don't know enough about them.

What you guys say makes perfect sense though.

Sorry I didn't read all of these posts but I do have 2 of these in stock for your standard valve. Sorry I don't have them for the opposite tank valve.

Thank you, I'll keep it in mind

Not as pretty as the factory plugs with the nice allen head, but perfectly functional.

I am having this problem right now and stumbled across this thread; @Tracy you're my hero, firing up the lathe right now.

And done

Make a few extra sets for Rob, He has been wanting some more for a year and I never get out to the shop to make them. @rob.mwpropane

Also, glad it helped you out. It was a lucky find many years ago when I was trying to make some from scratch, I checked the thread and it sounded familiar. Sure enough. Samey same.

I'll cut them but I don't want to cut up the only other set of stock plugs I have here. Someone send me some and I'll turn them down.
