That's been almost 3 years they said they will implement Trimix in the Luna, :hmmm: :dozingoff:
This is not serious, peolple are selling their Luna.

Sold, and you can see -many- Sol to sell in Europe… There is a crush for the OSTC MK2 here :D

The Galileo trimix software was being developed by the engineers at Uemis. Now Uemis is bankrupt. So that may be part of the problem.

The UEMIS was such a gorgeous computer compared to the SOL !

Folks with true aspirations of diving with trimix would not have purchased the Luna or Sol for that purpose in the first place. Enjoy the computer for what it is, a very good recreational computer...

2 years ago, when Uwatec released the Sol it was a real entertainment, then they promised the Trimix Update for January 2009 so it was a fair deal for such a good computer and promise… In 2 years you've got plenty of time to go Tx…

Perhaps Uwatec could takeover Uemis?

I leave in Switzerland, and I cant find no news about it… Hope Uwate bought the whole stuff, the Uemis was such a great computer…

I was told Uemis engineers worked at Uwatec before, and they made Uemis because they were in trouble at Uwatec.
If it is the case, i doubt Uemis engineers worked on the Uwatec trimix upgrade

I think they should put out the trimix module just because they promised it, or they risk losing their customers, some of whom may have bought with trimix in mind.

However the next big step for Uwatec is an OLED display.

everyone can receive the trimix "update"as you are an certified trimix diver...so where is the big deal?
Costumers who want the trimix update and arent certified schould better start an trimixcourse, there they will learn to make those dives without an computer :)

For what it worth is...a verry large store in holland wh sold a lot of sols told me that there will be NO update yet and probally never come via the website.
The only way to receive trimix for the sol or luna is to make an personal request, then you will receive it.

hmmm is that true eric......why can every trimixdiver then order the update for more then a year????
If you want the update you only needs to send a copy of your license and you will get it for free.

The founders of Uemis are the same people who founded Uwatec. They sold Uwatec to Scubapro for $40M, waited for the non-competition clause to expire, then created Uemis which then 'competed' against the same Uwatec company they sold to Scubapro. They designed both the Uemis SDA and the Galileo SOL, the SOL under contract from Scubapro.

I was just told by my Rep that they are letting key people test out the Trimix Download. Unfortunately, we primarily sell/dive Shearwater & Liquivision Tec Computers so I don't dive the Luna or Galileo. He is suppose to be giving me his personal unit to Demo so if I do get one, i will be glad to post my findings.

Wayne, why would you even consider a Galileo if you have the two best computer companies on the market (IMO) already in your store?
I had over 350 dives on my SOL when I sold it and probably around 250 on my X1 at that time.. The only thing the SOL offers that the x1 & Predator do not is air integration, and maybe a superior digital compass, though I prefer analog anyway. The screens on the x1, Xeo, Predator, etc are so much better. The screen on the Galileo's are one of their week points, IMO. Even with it back lit, I found it much more easy to read at night & in low viz using a light. Something OLED screens definitely don't need.

Being that I own a shop, and I am an active diver, my Manufacturers give me gear to "Test Dive" for them. One reason they do this is because I give them honest feedback. Unlike a lot of test divers, I will not sugar coat it and blow smoke..... I will tell them if there is something I do not like. I was merely letting the people who were inquiring about the ScubaPro Computer, know what I know.
I run our Tec Department here and ALL of my students are in either a Shearwater or Liquivision. As far as I am concerned, those are the 2 Best Tec Computers on the market today, Bar Nun! That's what I dive so I am in agreement with you 110%.
I enjoy "Test Diving" products and will continue to do so so that I can give divers good feedback as to Pros VS. Cons and then will always finish my response with what I recommend and why.
