Jürgen, thats awesome news!! the fact that the firmware is actualy "real" !!

Can you share details around gradient factors in the beta algorithms to facilitate deeper stops? Are they fixed GF's or user adjustable?

Also, is it a standard Bühlmann 8 compartment they have now? is it fully rewritten Bühlmann 16 compartment? (is it also adaptive?)

And, how many mixes can you add? i.e. how many deco gasses? and can you add/remove them on-the-fly ?? (for a lost gas scenario) ?

Can you adjust ascent speed for different depths?

and what about auto MB level adjustments if you ommited a MB3 deep stop, will it revert back to a MB0 ?

I'm actually pretty excited now about the reality of this elusive tmx update! :)

No GF are used, but the Uwatec system of MB levels 0-6 together with their PDIS algorithm (like on a standard Gallileo

It is based on ZH-L16, they call it version DD and in corporates the adaptive changes from ZH-L8ADT

It has 10 mixes that you can use. From what I can see, you can neither change them nor switch them on/off while diving. The calculation does change when you not do a suggested gas switch.

Nope.

Didn't try that, as I was diving MB0 to get a feeling for the baseline.

isnt it the same as when diving with decogas? you can switch them underwater as u like, you only will get and warning if PO2 will exceed.
Even if you miss a stop you can switch back easily and the programm recalculate everthing.

Yes, it's the same. The issue is that you can not actively exclude a deco gas from the calculation.

did heared that also from another user last year, he said dont "activate" all gases or something like that..cant check yet because i dont have the update.

But if i dont misunderstand you it would be worth waiting for or not?

Untill now i was very pleased with my sol, however the light could be a bit better but hey it is no oled.

i think also, and for all dives beyond that limit you dont depend only on a divecomputer no matter which brand.
Well, my primary will be a OSTC MK II quite soon, with back up tables as long as I have to dive OC - once I move over to CC the MK2 will become the backup for the Vision. And I will still plan my dives before I hit the water.

Ok, next dive in, this time I wanted to see what happens if I ignore the deco given by the computer. Dive was a shallow skills training dive to 30m with almost 60min of bottom time, including some ascents to 15m and back to 30m to see if the computer is messing up my deco (it was not). The Sol was told I was using 21/35 and EAN50/Oxygen for decompression. I did use these gases, but did not tell the SOL that I did the gas switches, so during ascent it adapted the deco stops accordingly. When I left the 6m stop, the SOL still had some deco obligation left and started telling me that I should decent immediately. When I choose to ignore this, it did not lock me out, but added some heavy additional time on the 3m stop. Only after the dive it did get annoyed and locked me out for 24 hours.
Quite happy with this result.

Thanks for the update.. Looking forward to comparing my SOL to my Liquivision's obligations.
